The Top 4 New Fashion Trends Of Pre-Fall 2017
December 21, 2016 | The Liva LifestylePre-fall is the period between September and February. It is the preview of designs for the official fall collections. Considered to be the longest season in the fashion year, it is different from Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter in some ways. Pre-fall collection is unveiled informally and at a lower scale. This collection sets the upcoming fall trend. It is important for editors of magazines to understand the fall fashion trends. Pre-fall is commercially aimed at those shoppers who are looking to start shopping for the upcoming latest fashion trends.
The pre-fall 2017 fashion show took place in Ritz Paris from 28th November to 16th December 2016. The fashion labels aimed at bringing back old-school designs with a modern twist. Designers brought out the famous trends that were set throughout the year. Given below is the list of the top fashion trends that you should look forward to in the upcoming months:
The Formal and Informal Pantsuit
Thanks to Hillary Clinton and her presidential campaign, pantsuits have become quite popular. Same tone pantsuits have become favorites with women of all ages. Chanel, the master of pantsuits, gave the ensemble a playful touch. They creatively altered the length of the pantsuit by adding embellishments and light shades to it. Other designers opted for new fashion styles like loose pants and softer fabrics (like velvet) to set the stage on fire.
The Less Controversial Sheer Garments
While a lot of designers incorporated the ‘Free the Nip’ concept this season, renowned fashion labels like Versace and Valentino used floral embroidery to ‘cover up’. Versace showcased his sheer outfit with colorful embellishments in an inimitable pattern, while Valentino elegantly embroidered in a dark shade for a charming effect. Other designers created puffy sleeves, lace trims, and maxi-length outfits to make the sheer feel innocent. Gucci elegantly stylized shirt dresses with a contrast shade bow. Zac Posen used colorful floral embroidery all over, making his trendy clothes look smart. Sheer is all set to create a new trend in fashion this pre-fall.
The Modern Midi-Calf
Gone are those days when mid-calf dresses were considered a conservative dressing style. Design elements like longer hemlines, frills, parachute silhouettes, tight and straight silhouettes, bold logos etc. have made the old-fashion dresses look modern. While Valentino showed an impeccable balance with semi-sheer and Victorian-flowing length, Coach showcased plenty of midi-calf length skirts and jackets with a youthful touch. Famous fashion label Oscar de la Renta introduced the concept of ‘dressing up’ with the cropped length of their classic skirts and dresses. Marchesa Notes added shimmer and correct amount of volume to his mid-calf length to create drama all around the ramp.
Fur Is Everywhere
Fur being the epitome of luxurious product, was used in an innovate manner by designers. Designers added color to fur for a bolder and better look. Chanel intelligently weaved, striped, dyed and embroidered fur to enhance his fashion clothes. Roberto Cavalli’s entire collection was based on fur. All fashion clothes had a glimpse of fur; some had the glimpse of feather to mimic the similar effect of fur. Other designers used pom-pom, fur stoles, collars and wraps in their outfits to create the feel of fur.
