The Amazon India Autumn Winter Fashion Week of 2015 was one starry affair that rocked the national capital this year. A perfect concoction of fashion and class, the event was a super success when it came to stylish clothes and star studded crowds. Here let’s take a look at what the top designers had to showcase at the fashion extravaganza!

Day 1

The day 1 of the Autumn Winter Fashion Week was indeed a kick start to the event showcasing brilliant collections that celebrated the true stages of life and its various hues. Rajesh Pratap Singh recreated the hospital theme with designs ranging from polka dots, stripes, dramatic floral prints all in the monochromatic color palette.

Nikasha’s range titled “Ruby” lighted the runway with bright shades of red marked by layered tops, tassel fringes and slit dresses.

The neo-Indian collection brought to life by Payal Singhal brought to life the lighter fabrics like silk, organza and lace. Then the signature style of Kavita Bhartia ruled the ramp with her contemporary styles in silk that featured a cocktail collection with resham doris, paisleys and tapestry prints. Anju Modi’s fairytale collection swept audiences away from the routine with breathtaking designs.

“Bolshoi Bazaar” celebrated the Indo-Russian collection by ace designer JJ Valaya. Printed maxis, tasseled saris, embellished jackets and Anarkalis livened up the runway.

Day 2

Rahul Khanna and Rohit Gandhi took the audience spell bound with their “cold forest” themed designs featuring high waist skirts, capes and laser cut jackets.

Pallavi Mohan showcased her “Not So Serious” collection that incorporated wool and silk fabrics with subtle bling and laser cut 3D flowers.

Then there was the “Boho Caravan” by Hemant and Nandita that was an ensemble of regional and folk tapestry outlines.

Samant Chauhan’s collection was an inspiration from Nepal while Malini Ramani brought to the runway a concoction of zardozi, motifs, cuts and slits.

Rina Dhaka’s designs showcased checks, stripes and patterns and the day ended with Abraham and Thakore’s recycling inspired clothes line.

Day 3

International and Indian fabrics were applauded loud on Day 3 as Paromita Banerjee’s collection breathed life into handwoven fabrics and Pankaj and Nidhi presented a perfect juxtaposition of the subtleness of the “rouge” and the strength of “minerals” in their collection “Rouge Minerale”

Day 4

Designer Gaurav Gupta kick started the Day 4 of the event with his fabulous collection “Prologue Risk”. The collection gave way to contemporary outfits with metallic colors, prints, graceful trains and plunging necklines.

Day 5

The event witnessed a colorful end as designer duo Ashima and Leena hit the runway with their brilliant collection that used silk fabrics made more real with zardozi and gold detailing.The grand finale also saw Monisha Jaising unveiling her exquisite designs.

The Grand Finale was a breathtaking show themed “Crafts of India”. Our country’s top designers sizzled the runway with Indian crafts and weaves in bright hues of crimson, red and orange.
