LIVA Styles & Trends With Ami Patel
January 09, 2018 | Designers CornerWe caught celebrity stylist Ami Patel live in action, creating four distinctive looks for four fashion bloggers in a styling session with LIVA.
Here’s what she had in store with her sartorial skill set-
1. Classic Monochrome for Somya Gupta
A myth buster for those who resonate classic with stereotypical and boring, Ami’s classic monochrome look was all about experimentation. To break the rigidness of the dual-toned combo, she chose graphic printed LIVA Harem pants to add an ounce of flow to the look. On top of that, she chose a black and white striped shirt with tiny prints. She finished the look with a bustier underneath the shirt and a wide, black belt over the waistline for a clinched, slender frame. Her style tip? Wear your hair slightly disheveled with gold hoops on the ears for a fun, young and energetic vibe.
2. Indo Kitsch for Nagma Mirajkar
For the second look, Ami chose kitsch fashion and gave it a quintessentially Indian twist. Since kitsch calls for breaking out of the style rut and embracing natural careless-ness, she chose a fluid, floral printed LIVA maxi as the base. She layered the look with a bright orange kurti, tied up near the waist. Peach colored palazzos underneath added a bit of texture near the hemline. Her style tip? Complete the look with a statement neck-piece, nude strappy heels, spectacles, and a pop of color on the lips.
3. Boho Chic for Siddhi Karwa
For a Boho chic look, Ami chose an easy-breezy maroon jumpsuit with tiny, white prints all over. She threw on a shrug in a complementing color palette to add to the careless and adventurous vibe. A signature neckpiece with a half-up, half-down hair enhances the carefree chicness. “Bohemian Chic and LIVA kind of go together, because Bohemian is about being easy, flowy and this look has all those qualities that LIVA stands for”, we caught her really happy about creating this look with LIVA. Her style tip? Have fun with the shrug, wear it down on one shoulder or tie it up along the waistline.
4. Print On Print for Angelina Pongener
For print-on-print, Ami took a floral printed LIVA maxi and threw it on like a cape with an unbuttoned front. She created a smart combination of floral and stripes, by teaming up the cape with a striped, white top.
With off-white palazzos at the bottom, she let the cape steal all the limelight. “The cape is something which represents LIVA. It’s soft, breathable and fluid.”
Her style tip? Just make sure that both the pieces have some color in common, while doing print-on-print. Otherwise, it can get a little tricky.
